During my summer internship as a Software Engineer at TikTok, I focused on enhancing the transparency of model decisions, particularly those based on transformer architectures.My primary focus was on implementing explainability features for TikTok's models, which were predominantly built upon transformer architectures. This involved developing methodologies and tools to demystify the decision-making processes of these complex models, providing users and stakeholders with clearer insights into how the algorithms operated. Alongside this technical work, I took advantage of my time in the vibrant tech hub of San Francisco and San Jose, exploring the dynamic culture and gaining insights into the tech industry's heartbeat. The combination of professional growth at TikTok and the immersive experience in the Bay Area made for a fulfilling summer.
